DigiGroup Security Case Study - Security and Lighting Installation at Beech Court
The Client: Network Stadium Housing Association
Site Address: Beech Court, Ilford, IG1 2EA.
Customer brief: Beech Court is a development of 40 units over 4 floors in a single block. There are two main entrances to the building as well as a rear car park entrance and two bin stores with internal and external access doors. Beech Court had a previous security system with an entrance panel at both main entrances, handsets in the units and a door release for electric strike locks. This system did not work at the time so all doors were always open, meaning a major security issue for the residents at Beech Court. Being an old development, Beech Court was in need of a major refurbishment and Network Stadium chose DigiGroup to provide the security and lighting services.
The Solution: DigiGroup successfully improved the security at Beech Court by installing door entry, automated gates, security
lighting and CCTV.
As demonstrated in the pictures, DigiGroup provided and installed a vehicle and pedestrian gate. The vehicle gate is double leaf and operated by a hand held remote control; by calling up from an entry panel at the gates, visitors can be let in to the vehicle or pedestrian gate from the residents’ handsets.
DigiGroup also provided two forms of Door Entry for Beech Court:
- To secure the external perimeter of the building
- To provide a comprehensive solution that secures individual floors from one another.
Lighting was improved around the building as existing fittings were replaced and addition SON70 lighting added.
DigiGroup also installed cameras at each of the 3 external entrances and four cameras to cover the car parks. In the pictures
below you can see how the CCTV can be monitored via a broadband connection, enabling us to capture incidents quickly and effectively.
The Conclusion: Working in conjunction with both residents and Network Stadium, DigiGroup delivered a solution to fit the refurbishment that Beech Court required. Security was greatly improved at the scheme much to the appreciation of the residents, as DigiGroup met their expectations as well as Network Stadium’s requirements.
